This kitchen has the homey, warm, and comforting feel of a barn, while also incorporating contemporary aspects to give it a more polished and cohesive look. Walnut countertops and a woven ash island (the island was custom made by the builders) juxtapose concrete lights and floating steel shelves, and full overlay rustic doors open to a furniture-style island that is highlighted by a custom glass wine chiller and a steel look tile backsplash. Through these combinations of materials and styles, this kitchen becomes extremely functional, as well as unique, welcoming and intimate.
