The next time you need to stir some paint and can’t find a mixer for your drill, make your own. As shown in the drawing, I cut the rim of a metal peanut-butter jar lid into a series of segments that can be bent into an effective mixer. Drill a hole in the center of the lid, and affix it to a 3/16-in.-dia. by 6-in.-long toggle bolt. Now use a pair of metal shears to cut the lid into equal segments, and bend up every other section. Mixing even old paint is a snap with this rig.

Good I guess but time consuming. I cut a piece of romex 3+1 about 15 inches long. Skin back 8 or 9 inches of outer cable insulation and bend wires out contra laterally to each other into circles and chuck the other end into my drill. It's amazing how well this works. Cut longer pieces for 5 gal's. 12 gauge is better than 14 but 14 works well also.
Nice little rig. When I get the time I'm going to make one.
Until then, I'm stuck with the old fashioned paint stick.
Thanks.
