Weatherproof Window Installation, Episode 2: Prepping and Installing the Window
In this episode, we detail the best practices for air-sealing the window, and flashing it to the outside of the house.
Prepping and Installing the Window: Not all windows are created equal, and it’s tough to predict long-term performance. Rather than trying to discriminate based on brand or try to predict, every window that gets installed—regardless of brand, material, or price—receives the same belt-and-suspenders treatment to ensure that air and water leaks aren’t going to be an issue.
