This house was built by a team comprised of a builder of ADA compliant tree houses and the designers at Conner & Buck. The ultimate goal was to incorporate tree elements into the construction, reflecting the wooded surroundings and making for a fun and casual home . James (B’fer) Roth came up with the conceptual idea, and Conner & Buck did

and design development
. The
structure
consists of low-maintenance materials on the exterior, including standing-seam roofing, hardi-plank siding, shiplap cedar and clad windows. Its thermal envelope allows for a continuous thermal and air barrier, R-36 wall and R-72 roof. It’s also set up for solar thermal heating with a solar sand vault located beneath the kitchen concrete slab.
