We started with an overgrown, broken pool that was full of mosquitos and sludge. The owner wanted a place to relax and watch the world pass by. They were interested in plants that attract butterflies and honeybees, and all other pollinators. The butterfly bubbler fountain spans about 6 ft. across in all directions and is a focal point for the clients and a welcome watering hole for the pollinators. The pergola is handmilled Eastern White Pine with a wash stain to match the owner’s house trim colours. We were able to train a Trumpet Vine atop the pergola and the site is lined with cedar rail fence sections.
