Architect Paul Krueger made good use of the stairway when he designed a very small guest cottage for a client’s home on Martha’s Vineyard. Realizing the need to house an extensive collection of books, he designed these built in bookshelves into the stairway. Stainless steel handrail and handsome lighting combine with the beauty of the natural materials of the steps and walls to make a very handsome space. Smart!
