The Gatehouse
This project was a complete transformation of an early 1900’s gatehouse, sited on a majestic lakefront property that was once a home to a boys’ camp. The half-log siding and cramped living quarters in the original structure were replaced with reclaimed building materials and an open floor plan. The owner wanted this building to reflect her love of English and French architecture, as well as a place to store some of her collection of antiques and vintage “found” pieces from her many travels.
