This kitchen project was focused on creating a more inviting space for both the cook and the family. OUT with the hard tiled floor. OUT with the weird angled Island. OUT with the dated appliances. And OUT with all the white! IN with new oak flooring to match the rest of the house…which ties the spaces together. IN with an Island which is oriented to face the lovely back yard. IN with wonderful new appliances to meet the demands of a 7-person household. IN with creamy white cabinetry accented by the sage green Island which shows off the original 300 lb butcherblock used in the client’s grandparents’ butcher shop.
