Backyard Cottage

View from the back yard.

This is a 350 s.f. cottage with a 13 x 20 foot main room for living room/bedroom purposes, and a 5 x 18 foot area divided into tub/toilet, lavatory, and closet.  It will serve as a pool house, guest cottage and an escape zone to watch sports on a big screen. Siding is cedar board and batten with shingles above. Windows are aluminum clad wood. Asphalt roofing matches main house. Since I built it entirely myself, I put to use many tips from Fine Homebuilding articles and books.
