Situated lake side, from the unique four story lighthouse to the main trusses, curves define the frame this timber frame home by New Energy Works. The main frame incorporates two parallel cord trusses with curved bottom cords which are the structure for the roof system. Crafted with reclaimed timbers, the lighthouse tower includes laminated curves cut from single timbers. The orientation of the laminations was kept during the drying process so that once laminated, the grain orientation was inline. In addition to the intricate curves, the lighthouse is tapered from the top to bottom creating complex joinery throughout.
