Pine Board and Batten Shed
A 8′ x 12′ Garden & Storage shed with an 8′ overhang for firewood storage. Clad with Eastern white pine board and batten. The Shed has a continuous ridge beam (3 2×8’s site built) that cantlevers out to the overhang. This may seem like overkill considering that the overhang has posts at the end corners but this area gets an average of 10 feet of snow! 2×6 rafters sit on top of the ridge beam. The doors are site built with 3/4″ T&G pine boards. Original plans called for a steal roof but the client went with ashphalt to avoid sliding snow piling in front of the doors.
