I built a 7000 SF custom log cabin west of Cheyenne Wyoming on 109 acres. This project was a owner design build project using construction techinques and finishes that lean more to the rustic side.
My goal in the kitchen and bath spaces were to make my wife happy with the construction and finishes that she would let me keep on building. The real goals were to make a very functional space that would serve our needs now and into our retirement years.
Flat walls are easy to build on but if you want a challenge try log home construction with marrying cabinets and finishes up to 20″ diameter logs. All cabinets are done in black walnut with a barn door flare and custom pewter pulls. Appliances have cabinet fronts with bull elk handles for pulls. Lighting is wrapped glass fixtures within a computer controlled Control4 system.
