Whenever I used to do finish work, I was always looking for a short stool, a concrete block or a bucket to stand on to reach a few pieces of trim. No more. I solved the problem by carrying some of my supplies in a couple of old joint-compound buckets. On site, I empty the buckets and screw through their tops into a 2×10 plank that I bring to the job. The assembly makes a sturdy bench that breaks down easily for transport.
