I had to glue a threaded fitting onto a piece of plastic pipe that kept dribbling water onto the bonding surfaces. To slow the flow, I got out the bike pump and an ordinary balloon. As shown in the drawing, I slipped the balloon over the end of the air hose and ran the hose through the fitting and into the pipe. Inflated, the balloon stopped the dribble long enough for me to dry off the parts and glue them together.

Most excellent tip. I do believe I would have needed a huge piece of bread to block the drip ( mostly used for copper fittings)
Thanks much Hey !
