Multistrand wire has to be tightly twisted before it’s wrapped around a terminal or spliced with a wire nut. If you’ve ever worked with the wire, you know how frustrating it can be.
Getting a good, tight and fast grouping of the strands was a hassle until I came up with the following technique. First, I carefully cut the insulation all the way around the wire. Then as I slowly remove this tube of insulation, I rotate it as shown in the drawing.
