When I started to remove a houseful of miniblind brackets, I discovered that the bit in my cordless drill wasn’t long enough to reach through the access holes to the screws. Lacking a long enough bit and the motivation to remove all those screws by hand, I hit upon this idea: I drilled a pilot hole in the end of my plastic-handled Phillips screwdriver and ran a screw into it on the highest torque setting. The screws in the miniblind brackets required a lot less torque to back them out, so I simply used my cordless drill to power my hand-held screwdriver, as shown in the drawing.
