Tired of dealing with latex paint-can lids when doing touch-up work? Try this. Transfer the paint by way of a funnel to a plastic milk jug (the ones with screw tops work best). You can use a felt-tip marker to note the color on the outside of the jug, but you probably won’t need to — the color shows right through the plastic. The jug’s small opening makes it easy to pour the paint and re-seal the container without making a mess.

I've used milk jugs in the past = warning = they can crack if the air is squeezed out, then the paint leaks when the jug develops a crack.
