Every now and then I need a sanding block for slightly curved surfaces. So I made my own palm sanders out of self-stick vinyl floor tiles.
The tiles are typically 1 ft. square. Expensive ones are 1/8-in. thick and are fairly rigid. Cheap ones are 1/16 in. thick and are flexible. With either tile, I use a utility knife to cut a block to the appropriate shape, then I peel off the sticky back and apply sandpaper to the adhesive. Now the block is ready to bend into the right radius.
