I wear contact lenses, and sanding drywall on a ceiling (or doing any other kind of dusty, overhead work) can be difficult. Regular safety goggles have air holes that allow fine dust to filter into my eyes. So when I have to sand overhead, I wear a pair of ordinary swimming goggles — about $6 at any sporting-goods store. They are airtight, lightweight and provide plenty of visibility.
