Whenever I use my pneumatic nailer on a roof, I keep a safety line on the nailer’s air hose. I use duct tape to attach a rubber tie-down strap — the kind used for lashing cargo to a truck rack — to the air hose. I put the strap about 6 ft. from the nailer. Then I hang the strap’s S-hook on my toolbelt or on a nail driven into the sheathing or a scaffolding plank. This setup allows easy use of the nailer and keeps it on the roof.
