Here’s another solution to the problem of keeping a roll of coil stock from, well, uncoiling. Don’t remove the band that holds the roll together. One day it occurred to me to leave the band on and pull the flashing from the inside the coil, much as knitters pull wool from inside the ball of wool. The coil doesn’t try to unwind, and it’s easy to push the unused portion back into the roll.
