My experience with job-site tool repair has made a can of spray lubricant part of my tool kit. I prefer the type that comes with an applicator straw that slips into the spray head for pinpoint application of the lubricant. Problem is, the straw and the can don’t want to stay together in my toolbox. A friend showed me the simple solution (illustrated in the drawing) to this problem: Drill a 1/4-in. dia. hole in the side of the cap, and then leave the straw installed in the spray head.
