The drawing shows a simple trick that I use to extend the life of my tool belt’s chisel pouch. The operation starts with a soft plastic beverage bottle. I cut a ring about 1-1/2 in. wide out of the center of the bottle. Then I cut the ring and fold the resulting strip into a U-shape. When inserted into the chisel pouch, the ring becomes a liner that protects the pouch from the chisel edge.
