Fixing a House With a Bad Foundation

Helical piers go in like giant drywall screws to support a sinking house and a new addition.

This is a description of an unusual project to right a house whose foundation had been sinking unevenly into soft soil. Helical piers, something like giant screws, are driven into the ground to support the existing foundation and correct the problem.
