Any little thing that helps to keep a job site a little less messy is a good thing. This idea falls into that category. If you’ve got a contractor-type table saw, it likely has a base made out of bolted steel legs and braces. As shown in the drawing, I draped a couple of wooden crossbars over the steel braces to make a shelf for a sawdust box. The box gathers about 90% of the sawdust. It empties in seconds and will pay back the time invested to build it many times over. It also quiets down the saw a little bit.
