I stumbled on a trick that finds a purpose for those 12d sinkers we use to cork a tube of construction adhesive. Once the adhesive has dried to a hard, rubbery shell, the nails make great stringline anchors. The adhesive coating helps to keep the string from slipping while I tighten and loop it.
