Mini-Roller Cleanup Trick
A mini foam roller cover is the key to cleaning and painting hard-to-reach places.
I have found the little paint rollers to be really handy for reaching behind pipes, for touching up, and for blending the edges of newly painted surfaces. But they are hard to clean. The drawing shows how I now use a paintbrush/roller spinner to clean the little rollers. The adapter consists of a 1/2-in. dowel, which is inserted into the jaws of the spinner. The roller fits on the other end of the dowel, which has a couple of wraps of electrical tape to create the right fit with the roller.
