My helper and I took Jim Goodrum’s tip on making a Flashing dispenser one step further. As shown in the drawing, we remove the coil stock from its box and cut a slot in the box’s side. Then we nail the box to a couple of planks draped across a pair of sawhorses. By putting measurements on the plank, we don’t need to pull out a tape every time we need to cut a piece to a certain length. We also indicate on the box the amount of stock that we’ve used. The running total tells us exactly how much stock we have available.
