Blade Stabilizer
Learn how to stabilize a wobbly table saw with this simple trick.
The blade on my 10-in. tablesaw has shown a tendency to wobble lately. I saw some steel disks in one of the woodworking-supply catalogs that are sold as a table saw blade stabilizer, and I decided to try them. But before sending my money to the catalog company, I took a look around my shop. I found a lot of used 7-in. blades waiting around for that fabled day when I would sharpen them. So I sandwiched my 10-in. blade with a couple of 7-in. blades, as shown in the drawing, and to my surprise and delight, they eliminated the wobble and table vibration. If you need a greater depth of cut, I expect 5-in. blades would work equally well.
