I wrapped the handle of my sidewinder saw with the cushion-grip material used on tennis-racket handles, and I’m surprised by the improvement. My hand no longer creeps on long rips, nor does it ride up the handle on cuts that require shallow depth settings.
At the same time, I like the way the luxuriousness of the grip adds a sense of worth to the saw and its function. I’m sure this upgrade would work on other kinds of tools as well.
