All-Purpose Construction Bracket
Simple L-shaped jig serves many purposes, especially when working alone
When you don’t have someone to hold up the other side of the board, this easily-made bracket will be your partner. Temporarily clamped, screwed or nailed in place, this is John Carroll’s favorite helper. The bracket is easily made on a tablesaw and fit together with generous amounts of glue and some screws, John demonstrates some of the jig’s many uses in this video.
John’s book Working Alone offers a lot more tips and techniques for solo building. Check it out.
