When I installed a houseful of new windows, I had to run hundreds of screws with washers into the frames. I fumbled around for a while trying to find a slick way to keep the screws readily available with a minimum of wasted motion. I eventually hit on the idea illustrated here. I took a strip of sponge foam about 2 in thick by 3 in wide and pushed the screws (with washers) into the foam. I left a couple of inches in the center of the foam strip without screws, and then slipped the foam under my belt to hold the screws at the ready. The system worked great.
