Accu-Chute Wheelbarrow Review
The Accu-Chute wheelbarrow has a 6-cu.-ft. pan with a narrow front spout that is ideal for pouring concrete into small targets
When pouring concrete into Sonotubes or narrow footings, Cape Cod builder Al Williamson faced a recurring dilemma. He either could dump the concrete from his wheelbarrow into the form or shovel it in. The first method was messy and wasteful; the second was slow.
The problem inspired Williamson and co-inventor Tim Stark to create the Accu-Chute, which their company, AlTim, now co-manufactures with Brentwood Industries. This wheelbarrow has a 6-cu.-ft. pan with a narrow front spout, ideal for pouring concrete into small targets such as fence-post holes, deck footings, and Sonotubes. The Accu-Chute is made from heavy-duty polyethylene, and its 5-1/2-in. wide wheel is the beefiest that I’ve seen on a wheelbarrow.
