HN90 PowerLite Framing Nailer Review
This lightweight nailer in the PowerLite high-pressure framing-nailer system easily sinks 0.148-in.-dia., 3-1/2-in., full round-head spikes into LVL stock with little recoil
I should have learned by now. I’ve been using Max’s new PowerLite high-pressure framing nailer for several months, but when I let friends borrow it for a tryout, I have a hard time getting it back. Because high-pressure systems compress more air into a smaller space, the HN90 PowerLite coil framing nailer is light–more like a trim nailer–at only 5.2 lb. (framing nailers average around 8 lb.). But it’s not light on power. The nailer easily sinks 0.148-in. dia., 3-1/2-in., full round-head spikes into LVL stock with little recoil. The PowerLite is a coil nailer with all the great features of the regular Max nailers: easy-dial depth-of-drive adjustment, self-cleaning internal air filter, anti-double-fire triggering, and a lock-off switch.
This nailer is part of the PowerLite system, which includes a compressor and a hose, available separately.
