R3200 Circular Saw Review
This circular saw from Ridgid features gloved-hand trigger access, excellent lines of sight, and good blade retraction
This circular saw’s excellent lines of sight, gloved-hand trigger access, and good blade retraction are almost enough to make this an above-average machine. In the end, however, its flaws keep it firmly in the middle of its class. Its poor sawdust control was evident in our test when chips covered the workpiece on the blade side of the saw, and some chips even bounced into the testers’ faces. The saw’s aluminum plate system had the greatest amount of flex during shallow cuts when downward pressure was applied to the saw. The saw has a bevel stop at 45 degrees(maximum is 51.5 degrees), but the sliding plastic button that creates this stop was hard to move and seemed as if it would snap off easily. One handy feature of this saw is that the blade wrench stows in the handle.
