30-825 LeverLock Tape Measure Review
The Stanley LeverLock uses a locking mechanism that allows the blade to extend or retract with the squeeze of a lever
This tape measure uses a locking mechanism that allows the blade to extend or retract with the squeeze of a lever. The biggest advantage of this type of locking mechanism is being able to feather or brake the blade as it retracts in order to prevent the hook from being damaged as it slides back into the housing. A button disables the lever so that the blade can move freely without a squeeze of the lever. Numerical fractions are written on the tape.
