BTD150 Cordless Impact Driver Review
With torque of up to 1,150 in.-lb., this 14v cordless impact driver from Makita is more suited to deck construction than finish carpentry
When it comes to impact drivers, this model seems geared more for lug nuts than for #8 screws. Although the rpm and impacts per minute are nearly the same as with its 12v cousin, the torque is much greater at 1,150 lb. This driver is more suited to deck construction than finish carpentry. As with Makita’s other drivers, this model is angled, which distributes more of the weight toward the rear of the tool and improves tool balance both during use and while standing. With its large and flat battery, it is stable while standing up. Unfortunately, this driver comes with only one battery.
