Straight-Shooter III Autofeed Screw Gun Review
This autofeed screw gun from PAM has an easy tool-free bit-change procedure
The fit and finish of this German-made autofeed screw gun system are excellent. The screw-advancement mechanism is smooth and sensitive. It also had the easiest tool-free bit-change procedure of any unit tested. The machine’s only drawback is that its flexible tape collations eat up more reloading time than either coils or rigid rope collations. It was easy to put this unit to work right out of the box , and the 1-3/4-in. to 3-in. range of fasteners makes it useful for decks and subfloors. This is the same tool as the Milwaukee Sharp-Fire.
The kit as tested included the autofeed unit with extra nosepiece, a spare drive bit, an Allen wrench set, a 20-1/2-in. extension with side handle, a Milwaukee screw gun, and a hard plastic case.
