DW369CSK Circular Saw Review
This circular saw from DeWalt has a flat, glass-reinforced composite base
The DW369CSK is a smooth and powerful saw. It has a flat, glass-reinforced composite base, which arrived with a DeWalt request that we be gentle with it because it was a prototype. Roe A. Osborn, managing editor at Fine Homebuilding, promptly attacked it with a framing hammer and pliers, and with great effort was able to fray one corner slightly. This amazingly tough material suggests the future of tool construction.
The DW369CSK has a bevel-adjustment lever in front and a depth-adjustment lever to the left of the handle. These adjustments are easy to use. The saw can be set to bevel slightly more than 56 degrees, with detents at 22-1/2 degrees and 45 degrees. They can, however, cut through 2x stock only to about 50 degrees.
My only real criticism of this saw is that the forward grip seems too small, which limits its usefulness, especially while retracting the blade guard.
