Stabiladder Ladder Stabilizer Review
The Stabiladder is an adjustable ladder stabilizer that can accommodate changes in grade of up to 30 degrees
The Stabiladder is an adjustable ladder stabilizer that can accommodate changes in grade of up to 30 degrees depending on the composition of the surface the ladder is standing on. (If the surface is slick, Stabiladder doesn’t recommend using a ladder or a Stabiladder.)
Made of 3/16-in. thick extruded aluminum, the Stabiladder needs less than three minutes to slide into position over the two bottom ladder rungs. After the body of the Stabiladder is secured to the downhill ladder leg with thumbscrews, the telescoping aluminum leg can be adjusted to match the slope. The telescoping leg of the Stabiladder, which is held in place with a steel pin, can be adjusted up to 15 in. in 1-in. increments. The hardware and moving parts look well designed for job-site abuse.
The Stabiladder can be used with all standard-rung ladders, on either side of the ladder, and is rated for loads up to 300 lb. Stabiladder is said to be in compliance with UL standard 184 and NFPA-1931.
