36424 Mason's Level Review
This level is built with a plastic shock absorber in the top that's specifically designed to be tapped
When setting a brick or a concrete block into its bed of mortar, I was taught never to tap or hit the level. You tap the masonry unit next to, but not on, the level. To do otherwise would ruin the level’s accuracy. Stabila’s new masonry levels change the rules. These levels are built with a plastic shock absorber in their tops that’s specifically designed to be tapped. I bought my first Stabila masonry level after seeing the Stabila sales representative throw one across a room with no damage to the level. I also know they’re weatherproof because I have left my level in the rain more times than I care to admit.
Because the vials can be read from above as well as from the sides, I don’t have to bend down as far to read the level on the first courses of block as I do with conventional levels.
In addition to the 24-in. model, Stabila offers masons’ levels in 16-in., 36-in., and 48-in. models.
