Video Vault: Slip Inside a Skinny House
What sort of house can you build on a 25 ft. by 100 ft. lot? An architect walks you through her award-winning design.
In this gem from the Fine Homebuilding Video Vault, architect Roxana Vargas-Greenan guides you room by room through a new infill home, which, despite being skinny, is packed with design details and options for flexibility. The design earned Roxana a People’s Choice Award in a design competition in Portland, Ore. The home also earned certification from Earth Advantage, Portland’s local green-building authority.
To learn more about the features and materials Roxana and her partner Trent incorporated in their design, read A Small, Spacious House for a Skinny City Lot from Fine Homebuilding issue #196 (June/July 2008), pp.70-73.

Nicely done. The entry door to the garage opens towards the front door, which seems like the wrong direction for practical use/traffic flow.
Well designed but the interior door to the garage opens against the interior traffic pattern.
