Video Tool Review: Festool Kapex Miter-saw
Festool's new Kapex KS120 SCM delivers on features, precision
Festool is known for highly engineered, no-compromise power tools, and the hefty price tags that go with them. A Festool product is not an impulse buy, yet the Kapex 10-in. sliding compound-miter saw has plenty to pore over. In this video review, Fine Homebuilding editor Justin Fink shows you what makes the Kapex worth its asking price.
Editor’s Note: Two points in the video desrve clarification. First, the Kapex can’t cut 5 1/4-inch baseboard in the upright position. Second, you can lower the head of the saw by pulling the trigger, but the saw won’t activate unless you pull the trigger and push the safety button at the same time.
Read “Better Saw, Bigger Price Tag” for Justin’s complete review of this saw.

It is not THAT much better then other saws that its does things I can't do accurate now with saws that cost less then half as much. Sorry Festool but that is WAY too much of a premium $700-800 Maybe But over $1000 for a 10 inch saw? if it was a 12 inch and had the capacity to cut larger crown and base on edge and a cross cut capacity to cut a 1x12 (11.5 inches) AND it can only use Festool blades? really? Sorry but I love my T55 track saw but this thing is WAY over priced regardless of the features.
