An insulated stranded wire, like that from an old light fixture, makes a handy touch-up paintbrush when just a small coverage area is required. The size of the individual strands and the number of strands in the bundle determine the flexibility and paint-holding capacity. I strip a short length of insulation off the end of the wire, and it is ready to go.
