While building a barn addition, I needed to drill holes in angle iron to attach the poles with lag bolts. As shown in the drawing at right, I used my whole body to lean against the drill, using a 2×4 comfortably positioned between my shoulder and my toe. More comfort, less fatigue, and more control. This method would work equally well when drilling into concrete.
