Okay, this one has to be fake.
In the second of a pair of YouTube videos circulating the Fine Homebuilding offices today, you’ll see what appears to be a perfect crosscut of a 2×4 acheived by throwing a circular saw blade from a 10-ft. distance. If it weren’t for the bad acting and our own experience editing video with Final Cut, we might have believed this one.
As always, DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME.

Uh-uh, not going for it. Not even with a brand spankin new Marathon blade...
How'd they do the sparks, tho?
I think these guy are in the wrong biz. It would be just as amazing and entertaining to see how this was really done. Thanks for boggling our minds.
Don't believe everything you see on UTube...
Who's falling for this?? Notice how they didn't show the mark afterwards. That's because he was MORE than a 1/16 off! You call that a carpenter? I don't THINK so. And there's the question of what happens when he gets an itch at the last moment and MISSES the whole board?? Nah. Stickin with me handsaw.
Of course we're going to try it! What else do we have to do these days ?
