Last week I sent a box of nearly 800 demolition-style reciprocating saw blades to our tester, David Crosby, in New Mexico.
Over the next several weeks, David will put each brand, model, tooth count, and length of blade through a series of pseudo-scientific torture tests to assess which is best for a range of building tasks. I can’t give too many details about the way that David will be testing the blades, but trust me when I say it’s going to be thorough!
This article is slated to appear in our June/July issue…stay tuned for more updates!

Never had much luck with the Dewalt blades, they seem to cut slowly and dull quickly. I stick with blades that are made from harder metal "they are usually heaver " because they seem to stay sharp longer than cheepies. However Deablo has recently released a line of sawsal blades that I've yet to try. Since there standard saw blades cut well for a budjet blades and are considerably lighter than the norm, I'll give there Recipricating blades a go. Anyone tried em?
I haven't seen this yet. Is this still out this issue (June/July)?
Try Lenox blades, best I've tried so far(out of Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Hitachi, Masterforce, and Ridgid). Dewalt was the worst.
