Okay, so there is a bit more to it than just painting your house. Adzookie wants to turn your home into a full-blown billboard. Here is the basic info taken from their web site, www.adzookie.com.
-If your house meets their criteria they will paint your entire house, turning it into a billboard.
– They will pay your mortgage for as long as the home remains painted
-Painting will take 3-5 days
-The house must remain painted for at least three months, but the contract can be extended up to a year.
-If you decide to cancel the contract, or if Adzookie cancels the agreement with you, they will repaint the house and bring it back to its original color.
Is this a horrible idea or is it absolutely brilliant? A few of us around here are undecided. Then again, we don’t have to live next door to one of these things…we hope.

My gut reaction is that it's a bad idea. I can see the temptation but I don't think it should be allowed. Seems like it could have a negative effect on property values. I enjoy living in an older neighborhood where there aren't restrictions on how you paint your house or treat your lawn, decor etc. This would be a little too much though.
How much uglier can America get?!
Yeah, ugly. And I see a lot of lawsuits in their future. Even without CCRs you can still sue to have an eyesore corrected. But most likely their requirements include facing a busy street, in which case it's all probably pretty ugly, anyway.
Just finished signing up a rental I have after reading this article.Im all for it, they pay my mortgage and I collect rent. Billboards and signs line the streets of most urban neighborhoods anyway, although I would hate to see this on my rural street!
patrick78, if you would, keep us posted on the process. I'm still not sure if I can say I support this, but it sure is an "interesting" concept.
