Bathrooms tend to be the smallest rooms in a house. Rightly so, they also tend to be the most private spaces with the fewest windows. Unfortunately, that means they tend to be dark and that they tend to feel uninviting.
While many of us cherish the privacy a bathroom affords, I think few of us really want to stumble from bed in the morning and head to the shower in the cold glow of compact fluorescents. That’s a rather dismal environment to start your day in. Skylights are the solution. They keep the private nature of a bathroom intact and cast the space in a soft, even light that makes heading into the bathroom…pleasant. They also allow views to extend outdoors, which increases the feeling of space in small rooms.
