I just spent a few hot days out in Minneapolis shooting two houses designed by Eric Odor of SALA architects http://www.salaarc.com/.
The first, a modern house with a big open plan, was panelized off-site and put up in about four days. Lots of light, great lines, and very comfortable. Look for it in FHB #225 (Feb. 2012)
The second house is a remodel. Eric took the formerly split-level ranch and added a second floor. He also cleaned up the floorplan and added bigger and better windows. Coming to an issue in the near future.
